Kerry TDs offer support for local radio

Journalism in Ireland will evaporate if it isn’t properly supported.

That’s according to Fianna Fáil’s Timmy Dooley who was speaking as the Dáil passed a motion calling for licence fee money to be used to support independent radio.

The government said it plans to reduce the levy on radio stations by 50 per cent.
