A Kerry TD is calling for the use of drones to be examined for safety reasons.
Deputy Michael Healy-Rae believes drones can be dangerous when used without consideration for others.
He is calling on the Minister for Environment and Kerry County Council to look at the use of such devices.
The Kerry TD says drones have been used in the Gap of Dunloe where there is a danger of startling horses and this could result in a serious accident.
He also acknowledges the use of drones is harmless when done correctly.
Mr Healy-Rae adds there are already bylaws in place with regard to beach law and regulations however, he says something similar should be looked at in this instance.
