A Kerry TD is calling on BorgWarner to engage with its staff during a month-long negotiation period.
In July, the Monavalley-based company announced that the plant will close in March, with the loss of 210 jobs.
In recent days, SIPTU said the redundancy terms on offer aren’t enough, and the issue has now been sent to the Workplace Relations Commission.

The Kerry TD adds no one wants the factory’s closure to leave a sour taste, particularly given BorgWarner’s presence and history of success.
