Kerry students to benefit from rent caps in Cork

Rent caps for many Kerry students may be extended to accommodation in Cork.
Fianna Fáil TD John Brassil, through a question on promised legislation in the Dáil, asked the government to extend the rent caps to student accommodation in rent pressure zones, which includes Cork City.
Cork is a popular choice for many third level Kerry students, with the majority attending either University College Cork or Cork Institute of Technology.
Fianna Fáil deputy John Brassil and Councillor John Francis Flynn claim rental costs in the city will increase by 10% this coming September, which will affect many Kerry students.
Tánaiste Simon Coveney responded to Deputy Brassil’s question in the Dáil.
