Kerry student wins trip to Kennedy Space Centre

One student in the county is one his way to the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Teddy Dalton from Tralee is one of fifteen primary school children in the country to be successful in the Fas Science Challenge Competition. They have been picked from thousands of entries, which required applicants to complete a series of multiple choice questions. The prize is a 5 day training programme at the Kennedy Space Centre. The initiative was developed by Fas as part of the government’s new Discover Science and Engineering Programme to encourage children to become more aware of the importance of science and technology.
