Local action is key in tackling climate change.
That’s according to Kerry Senator Paul Coghlan.
Speaking as his party kicks off their environmental awareness campaign, Green Week, the Fine Gael senator says citizen and community engagement in Kerry must go hand-in-hand with Government investment.
Earlier this month it was announced that Kerry will receive €28,000 for local environment initiatives, while the county will also benefit from €57,000 funding for anti-dumping initiatives.
Senator Coghlan says stopping climate change requires significant behavioural change and some tough decisions or trade-offs by government, businesses, communities and individuals.
