Kerry schools are being invited to apply for the Summer Works Scheme.
The scheme is backed by funding of more than €100 million as part of Project Ireland 2040 and the application process is now open.
It will enable schools carry out small and medium scale works to improve and upgrade existing school facilities.
Seanad Leas-Cathaoirleach Senator Paul Coghlan says this funding will enhance the learning and working environment for pupils and teachers here in Kerry.
Works will be carried out in schools over the summer months.
