Kerry records one of highest temperatures of 2013

Valentia Observatory   Kerry recorded one of the highest temperatures of 2013. Met Eireann statistics show that on the 19th of July 31 degrees was recorded in Dooks Climate Station. This was the station’s highest July and summer maximum temperature for seven years. Overall the average temperature for the year at the county’s main weather station at Valentia Observatory was in line with 2012 at 11 degrees. The month with the lowest average temperature was March at 6.1 degrees while July recorded 17.3 degrees.
