Kerry received 267 nominations for the Fáilte Ireland Irish welcome awards, the third highest number of entries in the country. Holidaymakers are invited to nominate a person working within the Irish tourism industry that has made their stay in Ireland more enjoyable.The awards are in their third year and honour tourism workers who best embody the traditional Irish welcome. Nomination forms are available nationwide from accommodation providers, visitor attractions and tour operators. In conjunction with the awards Fáilte Ireland is organising a series of customer care seminars to coincide with the event.
