Kerry’s best restaurants, pubs and chefs were last night honoured at the Munster Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Over 600 people attended the awards which took place at The Strand Hotel in Limerick with finalists going forward to the Irish Restaurant Awards in Dublin on May 8th.
Daroka in Ballybunion was named Best Restaurant in Kerry at last night’s award.
Other North Kerry honours included Allo’s Restaurant, Bar Bistro & Townhouse in Listowel which was named Best Gastro Pub.
South Kerry grasped the title of Best Chef with James Coffey of Park Hotel Kenmare taking gold while the gong for Best Customer Service was awarded to Nick’s Seafood Restaurant & Piano Bar, Killorglin.
Best Wine Experience also went to Killorglin with Sol Y Sombra taking the title.
Killarney scored a double win with Best Casaul Dining going to Heather Restaurant and the Yew Tree Restaurant at the Muckross Park Hotel & Spa scooping Best Hotel Restaurant.
West Kerry featured also with Gregory’s Garden in Castlegregory named Best Newcomer.
Kerry’s Pub of the Year also went to the West with Dingle’s Dick Macks taking the title.
