A Kerry project had won a top prize in the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition.

The national final took place last night at the 3Arena in Dublin.

The competition tasks second level students with creating haute couture outfits from recycled materials and junk.

Winner of the Most Unusual Material Prize went to the Fear Leighis na Mara Plaisteach project.

It was by Peadar Toibin and Sean Ó Loingsigh of Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí, Tralee.

Their design was made from fish skins and was modelled by Lennox Beaujouan.
