Kerry motorists are being advised of possible delays due to the Kerry Group Rás Mumhan.
The 4-day international race begins this afternoon in Killorglin just before 3 o’clock, with the 100km section taking the riders from Mid Kerry to Sliabh Luachra and back again.
The riders will leave Killorglin and travel towards Killarney along the N72, veer off towards Kilcummin, Scartaglin and onto Castleisland.
The return journey to Killorglin will be along a different route: the 155 cyclists will travel from Castleisland through Currans, Ballyfinnane, Firies, Milltown, before turning onto the newly improved N70 and back into Killorglin.
The 100km race is due to finish at around 5pm.
Motorists are being advised the elite cyclists will be travelling at an average speed of over 45 km/h, much faster than leisure cyclists.
