Kerry Mayor pays tribute to Manager Martin Nolan

The Mayor of the county has paid tribute to retiring Manager Martin Nolan. Mr Nolan has informed members that he won’t be seeking another term when his contract expires in April. The local appointments commission will advertise the position in the coming days and Director of Services for Transport Tom Curran is to be appointed as Deputy Manager. Martin Nolan became Kerry County Manager in April of 1997. Reacting to the news of his retirement Mayor Breandan Mac Gearailt said while they haven’t always agreed Mr Nolan did a good job as manager.
