Kerry Manslaughter case to be heard on February

The case of a son accused of the manslaughter of his father is to be heard at Tralee Circuit Court on February 22nd. Timothy Murphy with an address at Cuain Mhuire Turlough Mhor Galway was charged with the manslaughter of his father William Joseph Murphy. The incident took place in January of last year on the Main Street of Castleisland. The court today heard that The Book of Evidence has been served in the case against Timothy Murphy.Counsel for the accused Pat Daly requested an amendment to the terms of bail previously granted to his client when he last appeared in court on December 22nd last. Mr Daly asked that his client be allowed to move from his current address at Cuain Mhuire in Galway to Cuain Mhuire in Bruree Co Limerick and that Timothy Murphy be allowed sign on three times a week at Bruff Garda Station in Limerick instead of Tuam Garda Station in Galway. Judge Terence Finn granted the request. Timothy Murphy was arrested on December 19th in Knockawina Brosna in connection with the death of his father. The case will now move forward to trial to be heard at Tralee Circuit Court on February 22nd.
