Kerry man organising class action for customers wrongly taken off tracker mortgages

A Lisselton man says a class action is the way forward for homeowners wrongly taken off tracker mortgages by banks and financial institutions.

The Central Bank estimates that 8,200 accounts were wrongly moved off tracker mortgages with 15 lenders involved.

Padraic Kissane, who runs Kissane Financial Services in Dublin, outlined the impact of the resulting overcharging on homeowners to the Oireachtas Finance Committee yesterday.
