Senator Paul Coughlan has been appointed a member of the National and Social Forum by the Taoiseach. Senator Coughlans term will run for three years. The National Econmic and Social Forum monitors programmes to do with social partnerships, particularly those concerned with equality and social inclusion. Included in the forums responsibilities will be to aid public consultation on policy matters referred to it by the Government.
