Kerry Lyme Disease survivor calls for better standard of infectious disease testing

A Lyme Disease survivor from Kerry says he’s going to keep fighting for a better standard of infectious disease testing in Ireland.

Anthony Morris from Glenflesk has battled Lyme Disease for over a decade after being bitten by a tick in Scotland.

He underwent years of uncertainty after infectious disease testing in this country came back negative.

It was only after his bloods sent to a laboratory in Germany that he obtained a positive result which led to him accessing specialised treatment for Lyme Disease in the United States.

Anthony is now in recovery but says he’s committed to seeking out a better standard of testing for infectious diseases in Ireland.
