The Chair of the Grain Committee with Kerry IFA says they want is to get around a table to sort out a row over a possible cap on compensation payments.
Tillage farmers suffered major losses last year due to severe weather and are now concerned following reports that compensation payments will be limited to €5,000.
Farmers have been protesting at the Department of Agriculture since Wednesday and are refusing to leave the building until they get an agreement.

On his recent visit to Kerry, Agriculture Minister Michael Creed told Radio Kerry that this issue will only be resolved with talks:
