Kerry holidaymakers may be impacted by Ryanair German pilot strikes

Kerry passengers planning to travel to Germany may be affected by Ryanair strike action.

German pilots, who operate the flights from Kerry to Frankfurt-Hahn and Berlin, have voted in favour of strike action.

Flights to and from Frankfurt-Hahn operate four days per week in Farranfore, while Berlin is serviced twice per week.

Possible industrial action by Ryanair pilots based in Germany may affect flights into and out of Farranfore, causing disruption to local holidaymakers.

Noel Ryan of Kerry Airport says, as of yet, they have not been informed that they will be impacted by strike action but says it is a possibility.

German pilots must only give 24-hour notice ahead of any strike action, and their union has given Ryanair until August 6th to negotiate.

However, Mr Ryan says all customers will be notified by text or by email if Kerry flights are cancelled.
