Club Captain Declan McCarthy is very much looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend, this will be the highlight for Declan
and his Good Lady wife Nessa, of Declan’s year as Captain of our Club. The full details have just been announced, and the time
sheets for both Saturday and Sunday will open on the BRS system on Wednesday evening at 7.00 P.M. On Sunday evening
the festivities will commence with a drinks reception at the Clubhouse, at 7.00 P.M. this will be followed by a buffet meal
costing €15.00 commencing at 7.30, tickets are available at the Club reception. There will be the usual gala performance by the
Men’s Club Choir at 9.00 P.M. which will be followed by the presentation of all of the prizes in the various competitions, to the
Ladies, Gentlemen and Junior Clubs. Music will be provided by Neily O’Connor, and no doubt, the fun and carousing will
continue into the wee small hours of the morning.

The O’Donoghue-Ring Hotel’s sponsored Senior Scratch Cup was played over both Mahony’s Point and Killeen courses on
Saturday last, and the winner, with a fantastic total of 141 shots was our very own Luke Walsh, Luke, who plays off of 5 handicap
won by a 5 clear shots, and this was all the more impressive when those in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, position were playing off of very
much lower handicaps, our heartiest congratulations to Luke, and you are the first “Home Club” winner for many years.
