Last Sunday’s competition was a Club Sponsored Fourball Betterball event and once again there was a fantastic turnout, with scoring right out of the top drawer. The winners with an incredible score of 50 Points were Derek O’Keeffe (11) & Donal Dennehy (17). Their winning score comprised of 24 Points on the front nine and 26 Points on the homeward nine. Runners Up were the combination of Denis A. Cronin (13) & Sean Moynihan (5) with an impressive 45 Points (25 Points back 9), 3rd was the pairing of Tom Daly (16) & Mike Lucey (18) also on 45 Points (24 Points back 9) and they ousted Junior Captain Kieran O’Connor (7) & Peter Walsh (11) into 4th position on the countback also. The Club wishes to offer their heartiest congratulations to the Ladies Senior Foursomes Team & Management who retained their Munster Title at Tipperary Golf Club on Sunday last. Next Sunday’s competition is our annual “Ladies Play in Pink” competition, the format is 4 ball better ball on Mahony’s Point This competition is very kindly sponsored by Donal Considine from The Golf Shop,College street, Killarney.

Money raised on the day will go to this very worthy charity “Breast Cancer Research”. For the last two decades, the Irish Ladies Golf Union has supported Breast Cancer Research through golf days hosted by Lady Captains at clubs across the country. These competitions take the format of open, semi open, invitation and club. ‘
Play in Pink’ has been growing from strength to strength over the last couple of years and has raised over €630,000 in the past seven years with the monies going directly to Breast Cancer Research.
The ladies club at Killarney Golf & Fishing club are delighted to participate in this annual golf event on Sunday next 9th September 2018.
We look forward to seeing our ladies dressed in pink on the course and hope all have lots of fun and memorable day.

We are so proud to of our Senior Foursome Ladies Team, who were crowned Munster champions on Sunday last at Tipperary golf club when they overcame Limerick GC in the Munster finals. The All Ireland finals will take place at Knightsbrook GC Co Meath on Wednesday 26th September 2018. We wish them every success. The team on Sunday was as follows.
