Kerry fishermen to meet EU Fisheries Committee

Representatives of the fishing industry in Kerry will get an opportunity to voice their concerns directly to the EU Fisheries Committee when it visits Cork next week.

The visit has been welcomed by Ireland South MEP Liadh Ní Riada, who sits on the Fisheries Committee in Europe.

The SF MEP said It’s hugely important that the European Parliament understands just how poorly served Irish fishermen have been by the Irish Government and by the EU.

Among the issues to be raised are the considerations that need to be made for Ireland post-Brexit.
