Kerry farmers agree to compensation deal for ESB line

The IFA in Kerry are expressing disappointment with the compensation package agreed between landowners and ESB to install a new powerline from Tarbert to Tralee. The organisation believes farmers should have demanded more than the agreed sums of up to 18-thousand euro and they are being advised to be cautious in their dealings with ESB. The amount was agreed at a meeting of the local ICMSA and the county Chairman Conor Creedon says there was unanimous acceptance of the package.
