Kerry ETB Training Centre in Tralee is holding its first ever open week this week.
It’s a chance for school leavers and job seekers to visit the Monavalley campus and see the range of professional development courses, traineeships and apprenticeships on offer.
Instructors and learners will be on hand and give skills demonstrations and answer any career related queries visitors may have.
An apprenticeship information evening will be held from 4 to 8 on Thursday evening while the ETB will focus on the science, technololgy and engineering sector from 4.30 to 7.30 on Friday.
Kerry ETB’s John Herlihy said there are positive indications for jobs growth in the sector this year but there’s a skills shortage.
