Kerry Dublin Irish Rail route recorded highest ever figures last year

The Kerry Dublin Irish Rail route recorded its highest ever figures last year.

A total of 653,000 passenger journeys were recorded on the line during 2018, a 5.5% increase on the previous year.

Nationally, Iarnrod Éireann recorded its highest ever number of passenger journeys last year – almost 48 million.

Chief Executive of Iarnród Éireann, Jim Meade says reaching record numbers is a high point for the organisation, and has committed to providing a sustainable and reliable service for the people of Kerry.
