A Kerry cycling campaign group has accused gardaí of failing to address illegal parking by motorists.
In recent days, the An Garda Siochana Twitter account has advised users not to post videos identifying cars or drivers, where allegations of wrongdoing are being made against the driver.
However, Keith Phelan of the Kerry Cycling Campaign says An Garda Siochana have no authority over data protection or defamation issues.
He claims gardaí responded to a 2015 national movement, which aimed to highlight illegal parking, by claiming a balance had to be struck between parking and those carrying out their duties.
Mr Phelan adds the Kerry Cycling Campaign has posted images to highlight, what they believe to be, the prevalence of illegally-parked vehicles.
