A Kerry County Councillor says speed vans being stationed outside graveyards is wrong and disrespectful.

Councillor John Francis Flynn says he received calls from constituents who were intimidated by a Go Safe speed van, which was monitoring vehicles outside Kilnanare Cemetery in Firies.

He believes those visiting graveyards around the county are entitled to privacy, without the intrusion of a speed van parked on the grounds.

The Fianna Fáil councillor says Kerry County Council owns the land outside graveyards, and he says they should force speed vans to park elsewhere.
