Kerry County Councillor Michael Gleeson has called on Irish Water to fix manhole covers around Killarney.
Cllr. Gleeson says manhole covers under the responsibility of Irish Water have been causing an inconvenience to residents and visitors in the town, due to their constant, loud rattling.
He says it’s a matter of considerable urgency.
Irish Water is aware of the problem and says it carries out repairs to manhole covers along with Kerry County Council on an ongoing basis as required.
They are grateful to members of the public and elected representatives who alert them to any issues and will take measures to address them when they are made aware of them.
They apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this issue.
