Kerry County Council Emergency Co-Ordination Team meeting to discuss cold snap

Kerry County Council’s Emergency Co-Ordination Team is meeting at 11am this morning to discuss the consequences for the county ahead of the arrival of the ‘Beast from the East’.


There are fears conditions could be worse than the heavy snow experienced in 2010.


Freezing temperatures are expected with -10 degrees predicted in some places – with the east of the country expected to be worst affected.


The Government’s Emergency Co-ordination Group for Severe Weather is meeting today.
