Kerry County Council should consider all options for improving parking facilities at a popular beach.
That’s according to Councillor Michael Cahill, who says Inch Beach deserves considerable investment, including the provision of a playground, showers and additional car parking facilities.
Speaking at a recent meeting of the South and West Kerry Municipal District, Councillor Cahill says a compulsory purchase order may have to used to secure lands near the beach.
Kerry County Council says €25,000 was spent in improving access, parking and traffic management at Inch Beach in 2017.
They add many adjoining lands have designations attached to them, and all plans would likely have financial implications attached.
