Kerry County Council CEO to address members about Tralee Bypass bill

Kerry County Council Chief Executive is to update councillors on the bill for the construction of the Tralee Bypass at the June meeting of the council next Monday. Tralee Bypass Moira Murrell will address the matter through the Corporate Policy Group report. Last year Radio Kerry News learned that the bill for the construction of the Tralee Bypass had jumped from double the original contract of €30 million to €76 million. This did not include VAT. Last July acting County Manager Michael McMahon said the dispute between Kerry County Council and BAM Civil on the bill for the Tralee Bypass was entering the conciliation phase of the resolution process. The contractor has been paid €34 million to date. Money spent on the project has been funded by the NRA.’
