Kerry County Council has been awarded contracts for 122 new houses valued at €24 million.
The majority are in Tralee - 61 dwellings are in Lohercannon, 21 in Ballyrickard, and 30 at Croogorts, Tralee; the remaining 10 are at Rock Road, Killarney.
The council says works on these houses have either started or are due to start in the coming weeks.

Approved Housing Bodies in Kerry have also recently completed 22 units - four in Rathmore, and 18 in Tralee - on Doon Road and at Deerpark.
The Clúid Housing Association has also been given approval to acquire 28 social housing units at Lios Ard, Lisloose, Tralee.
