It's expected a decision will be made in early September regarding the future of the inter-county season.

Chairman of the Kerry County Board, Tim Murphy was speaking following the latest restrictions, which will see all sporting events held behind closed doors until at least September 13th.

Mr Murphy says this decision came as a surprise and questioned the Government's rationale.

The inter-county season is due to begin in October, but the Kerry GAA chairman feels these latest restrictions could have an impact on that.
