A Kerry councillor is calling for an amnesty for council house residents who are storing rubbish.

Fianna Fáil Cllr Michael Cahill says there’s an increase in incidents of dumping and storing of refuse in local authority houses in the county.

He claims this is because these people can’t afford to dispose of their rubbish.

Cllr Cahill is calling on the council to help out these tenants, and wants an amnesty for them.
