Anluan Dunne of the Kerry Cycling Campaign says garda vehicles are regularly parked on the double yellow lines outside Tralee Garda Station, which is impairing the view of approaching traffic.

Chief Superintendent Foster says it's unacceptable that members are parking in these areas.

However, she says at times it's unavoidable due to security concerns and the transport of prisoners from the station.

Chief Superintendent Foster says negotiations are ongoing with Kerry County Council about the provision of more parking in the vicinity of the station.

She is reminding members in the station to beware of the message it gives to the public when parking bye-laws are breached.
