Kerry Chambers have joined forces to work together to enhance the county.
They plan to promote a collective voice on regional and national issues and to develop greater opportunities for job creation, infrastructure development, funding and investment in Kerry.
Seven local Chambers have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate.
They are Dingle Business Chamber, Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kenmare Chamber of Commerce, Castleisland Chamber Alliance, Killorglin Chamber Alliance, Listowel Chamber Alliance and Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce.
Each Chamber will remain independent of each other, as will their individual members.
However, the agreement will see the Kerry Chambers supporting each other on local and regional issues, including combining resources to further support their own individual business members’ interests.
This is the first time that all businesses in Kerry will have an opportunity to work closely through their local chamber.
It is hoped the collaboration will lend a stronger more cohesive voice for individual businesses.
The group will work on a number of projects and will target job creation and investment as well as supporting each other on local business issues.
