A Kerry-bred bull has held his position as the favourite sire for beef cattle in Ireland for the second year running.

Castleview Gazelle is a five-year-old Limousin bull bred by Castleisland based vet Sean O’Sullivan.

The bull was bought by the National Cattle Breeding Centre and so far, this year has performed over 12,800 AI serves.

He is also the eighth most popular beef bull used on dairy cows.

Another bull bred by Sean O’Sullivan, Castleview Gringo is the seventh most popular sire for beef breeders.
