Kerry branch of PNA says most important mental health investment is staff

The head of the Kerry branch of the Psychiatric Nurses’ Association says the most important investment in mental health is in staff.

The PNA is meeting in Portlaoise on Friday to discuss their plans for strike action.

The union will support colleagues from the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation but will not be on strike on the same days.

The PNA will also not carry out any overtime from January 31st.

Talks are due to take place at the Workplace Relations Commission today in an effort to resolve the nursing dispute.
