Kerry and Cork Salmon Organisation launch strategy document

A commercial fishing organisation says they will have to increase the price of their salmon stock if their business is to remain viable. The Kerry and Cork Salmon Organisation is today launching their strategy document which outlines their vision for the future and the future sustainability of the commercial salmon industry. The group says they expect their catch to reduce by a third this year when compared with figures for 2001. This is despite scientific evidence that indicates that almost twice their current quota can be taken safely from south western rivers. This afternoon`s launch will look at reorganising and refocusing the industry in the region.
