Keel Uphill Downhill Loop Walk launched as part of mid Kerry walking network

The Keel Uphill Downhill Loop Walk has been launched as part of Kerry’s walking network. The mid Kerry route was developed by Deputy Brendan Griffin and Keel resident Trish Deane who co-ordinated the project with South Kerry Partnership Programme and locals on the Rural Social Scheme. Keel Walkway Deputy Griffin says the launch follows many years of hard work and that Kerry has huge potential to develop further as a walking destination. He says the ultimate goal is to link up the Dingle Way with the Kerry Way. It’s hoped tourists will eventually be able to get off a plane or train in Farranfore and be able to cycle all the way to Valentia Island, availing of local services along the way.
