Candidates in Kerry for the upcoming European and local elections are being reminded about rules surrounding election posters.
Kerry County Council says posters can’t be erected before April 24th.
Anyone who puts up posters before this date can be liable for fines of €150 per poster under the Litter Pollution Acts.
Council staff also have the authority to remove posters which are put up early.
Candidates are also being asked that posters don’t obstruct the view of motorists, cyclists or pedestrians.
The elections will be held on May 24th and posters have to be removed within a week of this date.
