Jury in trial of Georgian man murdered in Tralee sent home to return today

The jury in the murder trial of Georgian man Badri Khvedelidze was sent home without hearing any evidence on day one of proceedings. By DubhEire (Own work) [CC0], via Wikimedia Commons The trial of Mr Khvedelidze (33) of Westward Court, Mary’s St, Tralee, Co Kerry is due to recommence at the Central Criminal Court today. Mr Khvedelidze has pleaded  NOT guilty to the murder of his compatriot George Tkeshelashvili in Tralee in October 15th, 2005. Justice Isobel Kennedy told the jury that it is not unusual for criminal trials to undergo delays of this sort and thanked them for their punctuality in getting to court.
