Junior Minister accuses some politicians of making populist storm damage statements

A junior minister has accused some politicians of making populist statements about storm damage. Ballylongford storm damage dog Brian Hayes is on a visit to Kerry today to view some of the areas badly hit by recent storms and flooding. The OPW Minister is assessing the damage caused in Ballylongford, Fenit, Castleisland and Castlemaine. Kerry County Councillor John Brassil says the local authority has not got any emergency funding yet and ministers are using visits as photo opportunities.
