Judges legal team may concider challenge to demands for his computer

Judge Brian Curtin`s legal team is believed to be considering a high court challenge to demands that he hand over his computer to an Oireachtas Committee. The committee was set up to make a decision on wheter or not to impeach Judge Curtin after charges for possessing child pronography were brought against him. The case collapsed in The Circuit Court when it was discovered that the warrant used to search his house and seize his computer was out of date.The Oireachtas Committee has now ordered Judge Curtin to hand over his computer as part of their investigation. His legal team has until December 28th to respond to the order. Earlier this week Judge Curtin was banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to a drink driving charge.
