Jack O’Connor Set For Kerry Under 21 Job

Jack O’Connor is tonight expected to be ratified as manager of the Kerry Under 21 football team. The Kingdom Minor boss will have his name put before delegates at a meeting of County Committee. O’Connor, who has previously managed the Kerry Under 21s to All-Ireland glory, would replace Darragh O’Shea. Tonight’s meeting is on at 8 in Austin Stack Park, Tralee. The Round 1 All-Ireland hurling qualifier draw, involving the eight teams beaten in the Munster and Leinster quarter and semi finals, has been made. Wexford host Cork in Wexford Ppark, Laois welcome Dublin to Portlaoise, Clare host Offaly and Westmeath host Limerick. Those ties are fixed for July 4th but confirmation of times , dates and venues will be announced later. In round 2A of the football qualifiers Antrim will travel to Fermanagh , Offaly host Dublin or Kildare , Clare take on Longford in Ennis and Cavan host Roscommon. Those fixtures will also take place on the weekend of the 4th of July.
