Irish Times Editor invited to travel to Kerry to see airport’s important role

Tralee Chamber Alliance says increased Government investment will allow Kerry Airport to realise its full potential.

The chamber has invited the Editor of the Irish Times to visit Kerry’s capital via Kerry Airport to learn first-hand the important role the airport plays in the development of the economy in the county.

It follows an article in Saturday’s Irish Times, which Managing Consultant of Tralee Chamber Alliance Ken Tobin says was a “typical inside-The-Pale view of how the regions should bow down to superior government investment in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick”.

He says Kerry Airport is a vital element when connecting this region from a business and tourism perspective, and is deserving of increased State support considering the distance from Kerry to Dublin.
