Irish Rail to introduce customer care staff to deal with issues on trains

Irish Rail is to introduce customer care staff to deal with issues on board trains.

That’s according to Corporate Communications Manager for Irish Rail, Barry Kenny, who was speaking after reports of anti-social, drunken behaviour on the Killarney to Tralee train on Sunday night.

Mr Kenny says that during the recession there were cuts to staffing levels, but they’re to bring back customer service officers who will deal with complaints on trains.
