Irish Rail apologies following overcrowding

Irish Rail is apologising to customers for overcrowding on a Kerry train service yesterday evening. IrishRail Commuters, many of whom were travelling from the Kerry versus Tipperary match in Thurles, were forced to stand from Mallow to Tralee. Irish Rail says the train from Mallow to Tralee is usually a 4 piece train but due to additional post match services it was a 2 piece train. Overall capacity for the day was increased but this service was reduced from its normal capacity. Mary from Tralee was one of the passengers involved and described the scene to Jerry O’Sullivan: [audio_player src=””]
