A public meeting on the proposed South Kerry Greenway is to be held next week.
The meeting is being organised by the Irish Natura and Hill Farmers’ Association.
Recently, Kerry County Council published a Compulsory Purchase Order for the lands needed for the 32-kilometre route from Renard to Glenbeigh.
The local authority says it was not possible to get agreement from all 170 landowners despite years of negotiation.
Chair of the Irish Natura and Hill Farmers’ Association, which was set up three years, Gerry Loftus says they will view the proposed route and meet with landowners in advance of the public meeting at the Foilmore Community Centre on Monday at 8 o’clock.
