Irish Heart Foundation providing blood pressure checks in Kerry this week

The Irish Heart Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit is to visit Kerry this week to offer blood pressure checks.

They describe blood pressure as a silent killer, saying early detection is a powerful tool in the fight against stroke, heart disease, premature death, and disability.

Today and tomorrow the mobile health unit will provide free blood pressure checks delivered by nurses at Kerry Men’s Sheds.

The unit will be in Taobh Linn Social Centre in Kenmare on Wednesday from 10am until 5pm, and in Supervalu, Castleisland on Thursday.
